The British Institute of Organ Studies (BIOS) promotes and encourages the study of the pipe organ and owns the National Pipe Organ Register. The organisation has over 600 members, mainly in the UK and produces a journal annually. BIOS concentrates on the historical, technical and musical side of the organ and encourages members of all ages. BIOS has its own journal and can be found on social media.

BIOS also maintain the National Pipe Organ Register (NPOR) which contains details of 35,000 organs including 10,000 pictures and 260 sound recordings.
